Sleep Sanctuary Poem 06/07/2022

Turn them off.
Lock them away.
I don’t wanna feel anymore today.
Sleep is where i find my peace.
Sleeping puts my heart at ease.
When eyes close.
And dreams take wing.
Finally separate from mindless worrying.
A blissful slumber.
A restful sleep.
Far away from the waking eyes that weep.
Comfy.
Cosy.
In my bed.
Not haunted by sorrows shadowing & circling in my head.
Dreams of loved ones, adventures & more.
I wonder what the next dream will have in store.
Far away from waking woes.
Far away from overthinking sorrows.
Lavender scent on my pillow.
Comfy blanket encasing my body & toes.
Slipping away into sleep.
My private sanctuary.
Away from countless & endless worry.
Waking up from a blissful dream.
Hoping today i don’t fall apart at the seams.
Groundhog moments & rolling eyes.
Seeking guidance from admiring the sky.
Circles & spirals.
Ups & downs.
Forever spinning on this merry-go-round.
Life in a nutshell.
A blank canvas to paint.
What colours will appear today.
In these moments.
Will they be Dark, Light or Grey.
A joyous Summer’s day.
Or windy Autumnal day.
Regardless of fleeting thoughts & feelings.
Life carries on either way.
You can flow into the present moments.
Or you can dwell stagnant in the past.
Always be mindful fleeting feelings never last.
So whatever you paint on your path today.
I really hope you navigate your way.
Out of the stagnant waters which you dwell.
Out of the sadness & loneliness of your own personal & private Hell.
I hope your load is lighter.
I hope your spirit gets brighter.
It’s always darkest before the dawn.
Please remember in your heart.
You’re never alone.
Some moments may seem bleak.
Remember you’re the love & light you seek.
Carry on Divine warrior.
You’ve got this & you know.
You’re full of strength & dignity.
And that is Forever Within You where you go.
